Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 140 calls on Thursday; Forest City police had 94 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 19 calls; Spindale had 23 calls; Lake Lure had 17 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 42 calls and Rescue had 19 calls.
Bostic Fire Department was dispatched to a smoke report; Forest City firefighters responded to a house fire.
Jose Marja Avelar Amaya, 54, Greenfield Drive in Forest City, was charged with felony first-degree rape of a child and felony indecent liberties with a child; $100,000 bond.
Brian Keith Hicks, 19, High Shoals Church Road in Mooresboro, was charged with failure to appear on expired registration card/tag, failure to appear on no inspection sticker and failure to appear on failure to comply; $1,000 bond.
Tyler Dale McCurry, 24, Pinehurst Road in Ellenboro, was charged with failure to report an accident, driving while license revoked, reckless driving to endanger, misdemeanor larceny and failure to appear on possession of drug paraphernalia; $2,000 bond.
Donald R. Morrow Jr., 58, Goodes Creek Church Road in Mooresboro, was charged with failure to appear on driving while impaired, misdemeanor breaking and entering and second-degree trespassing; $12,000 bond.
Cory Lee Owens, 36, McGinnis Road in Forest City, was charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny; $30,000 bond.
