Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. responded to 111 calls on Monday; Forest City police had 49 calls; Rutherfordton police had 25 calls; Spindale was dispatched to 21 police calls and Lake Lure had four calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 35 calls and Rescue had 22 calls.
Bostic Fire Dept. was dispatched to a structure fire.
Matthew Robert Allen, 32, N. Cleghorn Street in Rutherfordton was charged with simple possession controlled substance; $5,000 bond.
