Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 129 calls on Tuesday; Forest City police had 61 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 17 calls; Spindale had 29 calls; Lake Lure had 2 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 50 calls and Rescue had 28 calls.

Fire Calls

Cliffside Fire Department was dispatched to a brush fire; Ellenboro firefighters responded to a fire investigation; Rutherfordton Fire Department was called to a smoke report; SDO firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire alarm; Spindale Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident.

Arrests

Michael Oryan Blounts, 30, Cricket Knoll Drive in Mill Spring, was charged with failure to appear on child support; $2,000 bond.
Joni Mitchell Cofer, 31, Flack Road in Forest City, was charged with failure to appear on expired registration card/tag and failure to appear on cancelled/revoked/suspended certificate or tag; $500 bond.
Billy Ray Driskill, 35, Lamesa Court in Lenoir, was charged with permitting operation of a vehicle with no insurance and assault with a deadly weapon; $300 bond.
Jackie J. Ginn, 37, Flat Rock Road in Columbus, Ga., was charged with worthless check; written promise to appear.
Kevin Matthew Pruett, 27, Hammertown Road in Forest City, was charged with failure to appear on misdemeanor larceny and failure to appear on possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver; $11,000 bond.
Joseph Michael Shubin, 34, West Main Street in Forest City, was charged with communicating threats; $1,000 bond.
Dennis Lee Wesley, 51, Mayse Road in Forest City, was charged with consuming alcohol while driving and driving left of center; $500 bond.
Casey Carlton Whitesides, 23, Hines Road in Mooresboro, was charged with failure to appear on driving while license revoked and failure to appear on driving left of center; $2,000 bond.
