Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 145 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police had 80 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 35 calls; Spindale had 12 calls; Lake Lure had 3 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 50 calls and Rescue had 14 calls.
Bills Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident; Chimney Rock firefighters responded to an industrial fire alarm; SDO Fire Department was called to a motor vehicle accident.
Tammy Lee Clarke, 40, Old Mill Road in Lake Lure, was charged with driving while impaired; $5,000 unsecured bond.
Jason Ned Comar, 39, U.S. Highway 16 in Maiden, was charged with failure to appear on driving while license revoked; bond amount unlisted.
