Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 139 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police had 80 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 33 calls; Spindale had 32 calls; Lake Lure had 18 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 50 calls and Rescue had 23 calls.
Cliffside Fire Department was dispatched to a gas leak; Ellenboro firefighters responded to a motor vehicle fire; Forest City Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire.
Michael Edward Hoyle, 55, East Main Street in Spindale, was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering and communicating threats; $7,000 bond.
Casey Sean McLaughlin, 49, Boys Camp Road in Lake Lure, was charged with failure to appear on driving while license revoked; $10,000 bond.
Benjamin Ray Sprouse, 25, Plum Creek Road in Ellenboro, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failure to appear on driving while license revoked; $2,000 bond.
Melvin Curtis Suttles, 74, Butler Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with extradition of a fugitive to another state; $15,000 bond.
Melissa Ann Ward, 43, Poors Ford Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with resisting a public officer and three counts simple possession of a controlled substance; $3,000 bond.
