911 Calls

Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 332 calls over the weekend; Forest City police had 168 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 93 calls; Spindale had 68 calls; Lake Lure had 57 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 122 calls and Rescue had 52 calls.

Fire Calls

Bostic Fire Department was dispatched to a fire alarm; Cherry Mountain firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident; Forest City Fire Rescue was called to a fire alarm; Hudlow firefighters were dispatched to a fire alarm; Rutherfordton Fire Rescue responded to an appliance fire, a motor vehicle accident and a carbon monoxide alarm; Sandy Mush firefighters were called to a fire alarm; Spindale Fire Department was dispatched to a fire alarm; Union Mills firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident and an industrial fire.

Cody Edward Cantrell, 23, U.S. Highway 221 in Forest City, was charged with possession of an open container/consumption of alcohol in a passenger area and driving while impaired; $1,000 unsecured bond.
Gregory Efford, 43, Old Wagy Road in Forest City, was charged with driving while impaired, driving left of center and no operator's license; $1,000 unsecured bond.
Ezekiel Thomas Emerson, 22, North Washington Street in Shelby, was charged with failure to appear on failure to comply; $500 bond.
