Three injured in three car wreck
FOREST CITY — Three people were transported to Cleveland Regional Medical Center at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday following a three vehicle crash on NC 120.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported Casey Carlton Whiteside, 22, of Mooresboro was driving a 1993 Ford south on NC 120 and came upon two other vehicles stopped in the road, waiting for a vehicle to make a left turn.
Whiteside couldn't stop, swerved to the right and sideswiped a 1994 Ford driven by Aaron Lee Brown,40,of Mooresboro. He then ran off the road and hit a culvert before coming back onto the roadway and hit a 2008 Ford driven by Ted Gene Blankenship, 43, also of Mooresboro, as Blankenship was making a turn into the driveway. Whiteside came to rest against the rear of Blankenships vehicle.
Whiteside and his passenger, Alexis Greene, 24, of Mooresboro and Blankenship were taken to Cleveland Regional Medical Center for treatment by Rutherford County EMS.
Whiteside was charged with driving while license revoked, no insurance, failure to register and failure to reduce speed.

Boissier charged in wreck
FOREST CITY — Jean Luc Boissier, 26, of Mill Spring was driving a 1999 Subaru at 10:02 a.m. Wednesday on US 221A when she failed to reduce speed and hit a 2008 Madza by David Ryan Spillman, 26, of Union Mills. Both vehicles were traveling south on US 221A.
Spillman reported injuries but was not transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Boissier was charged with failure to reduce speed.

911 Calls
Rutherford County Sheriff's Dept. was dispatched to 88 calls on Wednesday; Forest City police had 81 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 15 calls; Spindale had 25 calls; Lake Lure had five calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 46 calls and Rescue had 51 calls.

Fire Calls
Cliffside firefighters were dispatched to a carbon monoxide leak; Ellenboro and Forest City fire departments were dispatched to industrial fire alarm and Rutherfordton firefighters responded to a vehicle accident.

Arrests
Ashley Brooke Dobbins, 26, Avery Drive in Forest City was charged with driving while license revoked and simple possession controlled substance; $500 secured bond.
Julie Marie Givens, 34, Pine Street in Alexander Mills was charged with two counts uttering forged instrument; attempting obtaining property by false pretense, possession counterfeit instrument, possession counterfeit instrument/currency/check and obtaining property false pretense; $100,000 unsecured bond.
Bryan Franklin Hunt, 27, Avery Drive in Caroleen was charged with two counts breaking, entering; two counts, larceny after breaking and entering; $30,000 bond.
David Howard James, Jr., 35, West Main Street in Forest City was charged with embezzlement of state property, failure to deliver title, obtaining property by false pretense; $15,000 unsecured bond.
Britton Harris Johnson, 36, Tulip Drive in Ellenboro was charged with larceny of motor vehicle; $6,000 bond.
Ralph Edwin Jones, 58, Dogwood Lane in Forest City, was charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny, possession stolen goods; $10,000 bond.
Billy Mac Jones, 41, Sunnyside Street in Forest City was charged with possession controlled substance and possession drug paraphernalia; $1,000 unsecured bond.
Hayden Briant Kimbrell, 21, Oakland Road in Forest city was charged with assault and battery; $500 bond.
Antonio Rashawn Logan, 22, Dew Street in Durham was charged with resisting public officer; custody release.
Richard Lee Martin, 34, Mt. Pleasant Church Road, charged with surrender by surety on first degree trespass; $1,000.

Incidents
An employee of Rose's reported an incident of larceny.
Nancy Ferguson of Forest City reported an incident of breaking, entering,larceny and damage to property.
