Rutherford County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to 148 calls on Thursday; Forest City police had 67 calls; Rutherfordton police was dispatched to 32 calls; Spindale had 19 calls; Lake Lure had 4 calls; Rutherford County EMS responded to 47 calls and Rescue had 11 calls.
Cliffside Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident; Rutherfordton firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident and an industrial fire alarm; Union Mills Fire Department was called to a motor vehicle accident.
Danny Gene Francis, 41, Cliffside Street in Cliffside, was charged with communicating threats, simple assault and assault and battery; $3,000 unsecured bond.
Justin Joseph Guarriello, 30, Pleasant Hill Church Road in Rutherfordton, was charged with obtaining property by false pretense, misdemeanor larceny, surrender on breaking or entering a motor vehicle, surrender on misdemeanor larceny, surrender on injury to personal property and surrender on speeding and reckless driving; $12,000 bond.
