Media Notice: The Rutherford County Board of Commissioners encourages you to participate in County Government by serving on various boards and commissions appointed by the Board of Commissioners.  The purpose of the boards and commissions is to improve the quality of life in Rutherford County. Presently there is a vacancy on the Isothermal Planning and Development Commission and five vacancies on the Enhanced Recycling Promotion Committee. Information on these committees and an application to serve is available on the county website www.rutherfordcountync.gov under “Residents” or in the office of the Clerk to the Board of Rutherford County Commissioners, Rutherford County Office Building, 289 North Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC. 
 
Advance Care Planning: Sessions consist of a private consult to understand the purpose and use of living wills and health care powers of attorney. Sessions are free. Call Joey Revis at Hospice of Rutherford County at 245-0095 to schedule an appointment or for more information.
