Rutherford County Library Society is holding a raffle for two Kindle Fire HDs. One will be given away at Haynes Branch and one at Main Branch at noon Monday, Dec. 10. Tickets may be purchased at both branches and are $2 each or three for $5. Proceeds will go into the general fund to be used to support the libraries. 
 
Silent auction: Yokefellow Service Center, now through Dec. 1 at 4 pm. Auction winners will be notified by phone and do not have to be present to win. Be a Holiday Hero!  CBCC will award one $1,000 scholarship to a student who organizes and hosts the most successful blood drive during the holidays. The blood drive must occur November 18 - 25 or December 22 - January 6. Students interested in becoming a holiday hero can call 704-972-4727.

A Hillbilly Christmas Carol, by LeRoma Eshbach Greth, at Bostic Lincoln Center’s annual Open House event, “A Bostic Christmas,” at 3 p.m.; sponsored by Bostic Lincoln Center and RCT; show casing new miniature toy soldier collection. Special music at 4:30 and Santa arrives at 5:00. There will be prizes and refreshments.
