Al-a-non (an anonymous meeting for friends and family of people with addictions) meets at First United Methodist Church, 264 N. Main Street, Rutherfordton every Monday at 7 p.m. We have a newcomers meeting for new members. The focus is not on the addict but the friends and family members. Rutherford Regional will host a Baby & Children's Fair at Isothermal Community College. The event will help with those planning a pregnancy, expecting a baby or parenting a child birth to age five.
