Let's Make a Gingerbread House: gingerbread creations at the Senior Center at 10 a.m.

Senior Friday at Mountains Branch Library in Lake Lure from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Free and open to the public.

Annual Chili Cook-Off and Bingo: Chili cook-off from 5-7 p.m. at the Chimney Rock Volunteer Fire Department; $7.50 per person including chili, salad, cornbread, drink and dessert; Bingo from 7-9 p.m.

KidSenses Christmas Tree Lighting Extravaganza: Lighting of the KidSenses Christmas tree; create your own ornaments; event is 5-7:30 p.m., tree lighting at 6 p.m.

"A Bostic Christmas": hosted by the Bostic Lincoln Center beginning at 5:30 p.m.; open house at the museum, "A Christmas Chaos" performance by the Rutherford Community Center and Heuer Productions, special music from the First Baptist Church of Bostic and the True Grace Trio of Mt. Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce Reverse Raffle: Boots, BBQ and Bucks dinner and raffle event at 7 p.m., Isothermal Community College Foundation Performing Arts Center; one lucky winner will take home the grand prize of $10,000, plus over $5,000 in cash prizes will be given away.
