The Rutherford County Chapter Branch of the NAACP will be have their monthly meeting at Wells Spring UM Church, Forest City, at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited.

Friday, December 21
Hay rides: downtown Forest City; from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $2 per person, children and adults. A great way to see the holiday lights on a hay wagon, two treats in one. Wagon will load across from fountain area.
 
Santa House: downtown Forest City from 6 to 9 p.m. 
 
Winter Skate: at the Santa House in Forest City every weekend through New Year's; Fridays, 6 to 10 p.m. - Saturdays, 2 to 10 p.m. and Sundays, 2 to 6 p.m. Cost is $7 adults and $5 children under 12; Sponsored by Kidsplay
 
Widow/Widower’s Lunch Bunch: from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Ryan’s in Forest City
for anyone in the community who has lost a spouse. This is a dutch treat lunch and participants must register in order to reserve lunch. Call Travis Smith at 245-0095 for more information.
 
Singles Dinner Club: Will not meet n the month of December.
 
Saturday, December 22
Carriage Rides: downtown Forest City from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $7 adults and $3 for children under 12. Last tickets sold between 8 and 8:30. 
 
Santa House: downtown Forest City from 2 to 9 p.m. 
 
A Victorian Tea, Christmas Concert and House Tour at Lenska Palace with carriage ride: from 4 to 6 p.m. with carriage ride to follow. $35 per person. Have tea before the carriage rides at one of our historic homes in downtown 450 W. main street (the Lovelace-Ragin mansion)
 
Sunday, December 23
Santa Paws: Photo with your pets, from 2 to 6 p.m. Bring your pet for a photo with Santa. Sponsored by the Community Pet Center as a fund raiser for a $5 donation. No human children on Sunday please.

Chase Corner Ministries will be closed in observance of Christmas Monday and Tuesday
