Rutherford County Honor Guard needs honorably or medically discharged veterans (male or female) to participate in the guard. This units provides honorably discharged veterans with a full military honors burial at no charge. Uniforms and training provided; practice 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays; strictly voluntary; contact numbers: 289-5356, 288-1591, 980-2419, 657-6549.

Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation is having a book sale in the lobby of their office at 186 Hudlow Road in Forest City? Proceeds will benefit the ACS Relay for Life.
