Rutherford County Library Board of Trustees: Meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the County Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Rutherford County Office Building, 289 North Main Street in Rutherfordton.

"Teen Town Hall" Event: Presented by United Way Youth Council, 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at R-S Middle School; panel of four teens and a behavioral health counselor invite parents to join in a moderated discussion about mixed messages that youth receive regarding dating, as well as how to have open and honest communications between youth and parents when it comes to dating, friendships and healthy relationships.

Rutherford County Democratic Party: Regular meeting will be held at headquarters, 142 West Main Street in Forest City; event begins at 7 p.m., there will be no potluck; party candidates who have filed for office will be given the opportunity to speak; District Chair Betsy Wells will attend to explain Voterbuilder Training.

Zoom Into NANO Traveling Exhibit at KidSenses: Imagine and discover the Nanoscale world in this hands-on, interactive exhibit; explore NANO phenomena and real world applications and implications; the traveling exhibit was created by the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network and is sponsored by the NC Grassroots Science Museums Collaborative; exhibit runs through March 29.
