Community Yard Sale: Beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m. at the Cooperative Extension Office, 193 Callahan Koon Road in Spindale; hosted by Extension and Community Association and proceeds will benefit community based needs and projects as well as funds for a scholarship for a Rutherford County student; sausage, livermush biscuit and coffee will also be on sale.
Pancake Breakfast: Short Stacks for Big Change pancake breakfast at Fatz in Forest City from 8 a.m.-10 a.m.; purchase tickets in advance or at the door for $7; proceeds will benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society.
Relay For Life Yard Sale: Rutherford County Courthouse parking lot from 8 a.m.-noon; hosted by the Rutherford County Relay For Life Team; for more information or to reserve a table call Robin at 287-6176.
Farmers Market of Rutherford County: Sampling Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. with vendors offering market goers bite-sized samples of produce, meat and baked goods; craft vendors demonstrating how they create their masterpieces.
Paws Ranch Equine Rescue Fundraiser: Summer savings and items for sale including washer/dryer combo, refrigerator, stand up freezer, furniture, clothing, housewares, barn items and more; sale begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. at the ranch, 330 Walls Church Road in Bostic; donate your time or horse-related items for raffle tickets; horses and ponies available for adoption; for more information call 800-580-6504 or 828-447-5899.
Fish Fry and Rib Plates: Unionville Lodge at 399 Ledbetter Road in Spindale, 11 a.m.-until; plates with all the trimmings, drink and dessert are $7, sandwiches are $3.50 and N.Y. style hot dogs are $2; carry-outs are welcome; all proceeds will benefit the Building Fund; ladies of the Rose of Sharon Eastern Stars will also host a yard sale.
