* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  SOUTH CENTRAL MCDOWELL COUNTY IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...
  NORTH CENTRAL RUTHERFORD COUNTY IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...

* UNTIL 445 PM EDT

* AT 405 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND
  DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES
  SOUTHEAST OF OLD FORT...OR 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MARION...AND
  MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT LOCATIONS NEAR...
  THERMAL CITY.
