Search warrant leads to arrest for guns and drugs

On December 18, 2013, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) executed a Search Warrant at 714 Hines Road in Mooresboro. 

Deputies seized 3.9 grams of marijuana, 7.3 grams Methamphetamine, $2002.00 in U.S. Currency and (8) firearms, one of which had been reported stolen. 

Arrested from the residence was Rebecca Elizabeth Whitesides, 43 years old. 

Whitesides was charged with (1) count SIMPLE POSSESS SCHEDULE III CS, (1) count POSSESS MARIJUANA, (1) count SIMPLE POSSESS SCHEDULE II CS, (1) count POSSESS METHAMPHETAMINE, (1) count PWIMSD METHAMPHETAMINE, (1) count PWIMSD MARIJUANA, (1) count POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, (1) count POSSESS STOLEN FIREARM, (1) count POSSESS STOLEN GOODS, (7) counts POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY FELON. 

Bond was set at $165,500.00 secured. 

Warrants have been secured for the arrest of Casey Carlton Whitesides, who is the 23 year old son of Rebecca. 

Casey is wanted for PWIMSD METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA and SIMPLE POSSESS SCHEDULE IV C.S. 

Casey is 5’3” tall, 160 pounds, has brown hair and eyes and has a neck tattoo.
